We are now looking for someone who wants to work as a social worker in the Economic Assistance Unit.

The Arvika municipality's operations in Social Services and Labor Market consist of the adult unit, the Economic Assistance Unit, the labor market and integration unit, social psychiatry, and the department for Children and Youth. The Social Services and Labor Market operation is new since the turn of the year and has a collective responsibility to prevent and combat exclusion and to support residents towards increased independence. We are now seeking more employees who want to be part of our journey of change!

We apply mentorship, and you will receive an assigned mentor upon your employment with us.

The Economic Assistance Unit currently consists of nine social workers, one estate administrator, one budget and debt administrator, and one unit manager. Based on the upcoming Activity Requirements, we are now expanding the unit with two additional social workers.

The Social Services are centrally located in Arvika, close to the center and train station, with a view of the city park and Kyrkviken.

Job Responsibilities

As a social worker in economic assistance, you will investigate and assess the right to financial support/economic assistance according to applicable legislation. You will investigate, decide, and follow up on interventions according to delegation. Your task as a social worker is to work together with the client to find solutions that strengthen their resources and opportunities to become self-sufficient and live an independent life. This occurs through conversations, labor market interventions, and collaboration with involved parties both internally and externally.

Qualifications

Formal Competencies:

• You have a degree in social work, and it is advantageous if you have experience in public authority operations and work within social services. Additionally, experience with the operational system Life Care is valuable.

• We are looking for a person who is secure and stable in themselves, with the ability to handle stressful situations constructively. You maintain your calm and humor even in pressured situations and have a realistic perspective on challenges.
• As someone who thrives in a changing environment, you have the ability to adapt and find quick solutions to emerging problems. You are a person who does your best with the resources available to you and is willing to learn and develop in your role.

Other

The positions are permanent, and on-call duty is included.

A valid driver's license (B) for manual transmission is required, as well as access to your own car in connection with on-call duty.
